TOO HOT.

I completely sympathize with the animals in weather like this.  Even in the shade and with a breeze, by 3:00 p.m. it will feel like its over 100 degrees and stiflingly humid.  Its hard to decide if being let in the barn is a good thing, or a bad thing - it makes for a larger "shady" area, but it also limits the air-flow. Ed said this should last only through Friday evening - lets hope he's correct.
