Romeldale CVM sheep rams for sale

Yes, "sheep rams for sale." This means I have surplus sheep this year.  A good feeling - now I just need to get the two black boys sold.  Nice little rams, Bilbo and Baggins (named by the grandkids), were bottle lambs for the first 36 hours of their life.  Power went out between their births - causing darkness in their stall - so, "what you don't see" doesn't exist, right? Katrina seemed to have forgotten she had the first lamb - across the room - and only wanted her second lamb.  Both were bouncy and super healthy - she just "forgot". No one has ever said that sheep are the smartest, right? This proves it! We love our flock, but, there are times ....

We rubbed and re-rerubbed both lambs with afterbirth, milked Katrina to get the colostrum, held her so they could only drink simultaniously, and ultimately, she did accept Bilbo back.  During those 36+ hours, though, I had them on the porch in a big box.  We had to tie and hold Katrina so I could milk her, then bottle fed every four hours, which meant setting my alarm for midnight and 2:00 a.m. After the first 24 hours, I was determined to get her to take Bilbo back.   So, instead of milking her and bringing the milk to the lambs in the house, we haltered and held her and took the lambs to her, in the barn.  We did this for the next 12 hours. Although she sometimes pushed Bilbo away, when she "remembered" she didn't want him, he snuck drinks when he could and after about the first week, she didn't care anymore.

As a result, they are super tame and great dispositioned ram lambs - a good trait for a future breeding ram.
