Farm Festivals

Yesterday, Ada and I went to an apple orchard festival with her two older sisters and all of her nieces and nephews. It was a perfect weather day and the crowds were just right. The highlight for all was the horse-drawn hay ride through the apple orchard and endless pumpkin patch. What a great thing to do with one's farm! How fun it would be to expand Sunny Silver Maple Farm and be able to have some sort of an annual festival ... it could be a spring festival, "New Lambs and Kids Day" ... with sheep shearing and bottle lambs/kids being fed. Nikkoli, my oldest daughter, could give spinning wool and knitting demonstrations.  There could be spring gardening activities like, Starting Your Own Tomato Plants and Using Natural Pesticides by my daughter, Jacki.  There could be chicks hatching in the view-top incubator ... which Ada and the grandkids could be in charge of.  Hmmm .... maybe this could be a reality? and not just a "what if"? Maybe ... I should add this to next year's list-of-things-to-do ... "plan and implement a farm festival".  Maybe ...
